Volunteer at the Burlington Warming Shelter

ANEW Place is pleased to be partnering with Community Health Centers of Burlington on this winter’s warming shelter project. The warming shelter will operate during the winter months and is a low-barrier shelter for homeless adults in Chittenden County. As a community we are committed to making sure no one freezes on the street on Vermont’s coldest nights. While ANEW Place is a transition center focused on reintegration and self-sufficiency, we also see the value and necessity in having low-barrier options as a first step in our community.

Lots of volunteers are needed to make this project a success. With your help, we can create a supportive, compassionate environment for every person in need. Training and ongoing support is provided. Volunteers are needed for morning and evening shifts. There will also be paid staff on-site during all shifts.
